Materials of construction suitable for storing REMOTOX® include stainless steel, fiberglass, high density polyethylene and polypropylene, ABS, PVC, and Teflon. REMOTOX® is readily available for shipment in drums, IBC totes and in bulk tank trucks. This product is not DOT regulated. Solutions of REMOTOX® are considered stable in transportation. When containers are tightly sealed and stored at moderate temperature, REMOTOX® has been tested to maintain its effectiveness for a minimum of one year.
REMOTOX® is corrosive due to its caustic nature. Workers are advised to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to avoid exposure to the skin and eyes. Use product outdoors or in well ventilated area. Take any precaution to avoid mixing with acids, combustibles, oxidizers. For further information, please refer to our Safety Data Sheet.
REMOTOX® is a calcium polysulfide liquid solution with a typical pH of 11.5. The solution is deep red in color and may have a slight rotten egg odor. Typical weight of the solution is 10.6 pounds per U.S. gallon (1.27 gm/cc). The concentration (active ingredient) of the solution is 29% by weight.
